RE: mdi Consultants, Inc. gives 2-day cGMP seminar to Pharmaceutical Executives from the Newly Independent States of the Former Soviet Union

The SABIT (Special American Business Internship Training Program) program, a part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, invited mdi Consultants, Inc. on January 30, 2003 to provide a 2-day seminar to 18 pharmaceutical executives from the Newly Independent States of the Former Soviet Union. The seminar was meant to cover cGMP training for U.S. market entry.

The executives represented companies of various sizes, from over 1000 employees to smaller than 50 employees. There were representatives from the following countries: Georgia, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus and Uzbekistan. The executives were keenly interested in implementing cGMP practices into their manufacturing plants and asked many questions in regards to process validation. Overall, the seminar was a success and mdi Consultants was glad to participate in a program to help strengthen the ties between the republics of the former Soviet Union and the United States.
