Update Sept 19, 2000 TELECONFERENCE"Integrating Human Factors Engineering into Medical Device Design, Development and FDA Oversight" -- October 11, 2000There will be a live, interactive satellite teleconference for the medical device industry and the FDA Center for Devices and Radiological Health. Call 1-888-626-8730 if you cannot find the satellite or are getting an unacceptable signal. This satellite teleconference, sponsored by the Food and Drug Administration, will help the medical device industry incorporate user needs into their design and development of new medical devices thereby increasing safety and effectiveness, The teleconference will also cover the importance of industry reports of use error adverse incidents to the FDA in order to increase knowledge of use error. A variety of formats, including interviews and panel discussions with medical device professionals in industry, patient care, and FDA will be presented.
